Who can attend

The School aims at training experts, both from the public and the private sectors, to be able to manage the process of ageing of the population. In particular, the course, by its interdisciplinary nature, intends to help participants to move beyond their own field of expertise, in order to assume a general holistic perspective of the overall phenomenon of the ageing of the population and to be in the position to select the cutting edge strategies of psychosocial, economic, technological and industrial nature.


The School welcomes Ph.D. students, both candidates currently enrolled and candidates awarded the title in the last couple of years, as well as Post-Doctoral researchers, both from Italian and foreign universities, and is open to participants with any research background as long as their focus is the ageing society. The School welcomes also representatives of the public administration and the private sector whose area of activity is the ageing society.


A maximum of n. 40 participants will be admitted to the School: up to 20 from Italian universities and research centers and up to 20 from international universities and research centers. Representatives of the public administration and the private sector will be admitted exceeding the students’ quota.


The Summer School will be activated on condition that there are at least 10 participants.
